CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION 2024  

D.A.V. Public School, Velachery observed Children’s Day on 14 November 2024. The celebration was hosted by the students of Std VI with a variety of programmes, focusing on Children and Education.

The day’s festivities commenced with the devotional Gayatri Mantra followed by the DAV Gaan.

‘Rhythmic Medley’ was a melodious performance by the teachers of Middle School. The teachers wished the children success and happiness in a mash up of motivational songs. 

‘Childhood: The legacy of Chacha Nehru’, was presented by Namish Chopra of Std IX. He eloquently reflected on Nehru’s advocacy for children’s rights and education and highlighted the significance of Children’s Day Celebration and the contributions of Jawaharlal Nehru to child welfare.

‘Spectrum of Intelligence’ was a vibrant showcase by the students of Std VI and VII who flaunted their talents in multiple areas. They dazzled the audience with an amazing display of artistic, intellectual and creative skills.

A surprise entry by the tiny tots of L.K.G. as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru accompanied by a host of dancers won the hearts of the audience. They brought smiles and cheers with their adorable dance movements, leaving a lasting impression.

‘Harmony Hustle’ was a mind blowing dance performance by students of Std XI and XII.  The performance highlighted their teamwork, energy, grace and enthusiasm. They stole the show with their endearing dance movements.

Roots and Wings was a thought provoking presentation by the students of Std VIII, illustrating how the school cultivates students’ knowledge and gives them wings of creativity. The programme beautifully captured the school’s dedication and commitment to empower the students to reach their full potential.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks followed by Shanti Paat.

With its diverse performances and the enthusiastic audience, the celebration left an indelible mark in the hearts of everyone. The cultural events exhibited unity and creativity of the children.
