CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL BIODIVERSITY DAY FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024 -25

Bio-Diversity Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at our school on July 12, 2024. This significant event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of Bio-Diversity and the necessity of protecting it. The celebration included an array of programs involving students from classes VII, VIII, and IX.

Classes VIII and IX hosted the celebration, Apoorva Yadavalli of class VIII A delivered the welcome speech, highlighting the importance of "Biodiversity and Sustainable Development."

The event featured numerous cultural programs. Class IX students presented an informative ANAGRAM stage show on the topic "Preserving Precious Lives". In this interactive segment, questions were asked verbally, and after a few seconds, students rearranged themselves on stage to form the correct answers.

Following this, the talented students of class VIII performed a ‘rap song’ and an enthusiastic dance titled "Joyful Jugalbandi". Their performance depicted the beauty of nature and emphasized the importance of preserving biodiversity.

Students from classes VI and VII hosted a skit show, highlighted the importance of identifying and conserving mangroves. They illustrated how ‘Pichavarm Mangrove Forest’ plays a crucial role in mitigating the impact of Tsunami.

The celebration was a resounding success, fostering a sense of responsibility and awareness among students about the importance of biodiversity. It not only educated the students but also inspired them to take important steps towards environmental conservation.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Anshuman Ravi of class  VIII B, followed by National Anthem and Shanti Paat.
