QUIT INDIA MOVEMENT DAY CELEBRATION 2024 -25

I believe that in the history of the world, there has not been a more genuinely democratic struggle for freedom than ours.” – Mahatma Gandhi.

The Quit India Movement, or ‘August Kranti Andolan,’ was indeed launched in Mumbai on August 8, 1942, by Mahatma Gandhi during World War II. It was a pivotal movement in India's struggle for independence and played a significant role in the country's eventual independence in 1947.

Class X hosted a lively and inspiring Quit India Day observance, turning the event into a strong tribute to India's fight for independence on 8th August 2024. The energy was high as students from Classes VIII to X gathered, eager to participate.

The program began with a serene and divine recitation of the Gayatri Mantra, followed by the soulful rendition of the DAV Gaan.

Class X students, Prajyothi Behera and Sadana M gracefully hosted the show. Sri Rupika warmly welcomed the gathering, setting a positive tone for the event.

Dinesh Ramani T and Nishita S then delivered an energetic and impactful speech on the Significance of the Quit India Movement, highlighting its crucial role in India’s struggle for independence.

The “Diary of a Satyagrahi” skit by Class VIII students depicted the timeline of events leading to the Quit India Movement. Their performance vividly showcased the key moments and figures of this pivotal historical period.

“Broadcast from the Past” saw Class X students present a unique event combining the concept of time travel with broadcasting to explain the Quit India Movement. Their creative approach offered an imaginative and insightful way to explore and understand the movement’s historical significance through the lens of science.

Gandagi Quit India” featured Class X students highlighting the importance of a ‘Clean India’ through an impressive dance performance. Their creative presentation emphasized the connection between cleanliness and the spirit of the Quit India Movement.
