NATIONAL LITERACY DAY 2024  

       THEME: “MULTILINGUAL EDUCATION: LITERACY FOR MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING AND PEACE”

National Literacy Day was commemorated by D.A.V. Public School, Chennai on September 6, 2024 to promote literacy as a tool for empowering people and building an Inclusive Society.

Students of Std XI conducted an awareness program through a medley of indoor activities revolving around the theme, “Multilingual Education: Literacy for mutual understanding and peace”.

The awareness drive advocated Inclusive Education for all and the need to bridge educational gaps. The facilitators sensitized their counterparts about the initiatives taken by the Government of India to make the country 100% literate and secure the Right to Education.

The Seminar led by Ritesh Mannem and Sanchita Patra stressed on Literacy for Mutual Understanding and Peace. They highlighted how interacting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds could equip learners with the ability to converse in multiple languages. Thus, meeting the demands of inter-state and cross territorial migration of students.

Sree Mukund Arun Nambiar and Apoorva Soundararajan stressed on the need to upgrade Knowledge, Skill for the right Attitude towards Education.

Deepa Sathish and Hanshika thrust upon the Right to Education, Equality and Equity for a Developed India.
