CELEBRATION OF GANDHIJI’S 150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY
The students of D.A.V Public School dedicated a special two-hour ‘Tribute’ to the Father of Our Nation – Mahatma Gandhi during his 150th Birth Anniversary (1869-2019).
The events highlighted the Gandhian values, in other words - The Four Pillars of Gandhian Thought – Satya (Truth), Ahimsa (Non- violence), Sarvodaya (Welfare of all) and Satyagraha (Passive Political Resistance).
The Prayer was in sync with the Gandhian Dogma of ‘Unity among all Mankind’, where our students rendered the ‘All Faith Prayer’. Each student recited verses/lines from the Holy Scriptures of Hindus, Muslims and Christians, thus emphasising ‘Unity in One God’
A skit on ‘Communal Harmony’ conveyed the message of ‘Peace and Brotherhood’. The skit portrayed the need for ‘Right way of thinking and living’ and eliminating narrow thoughts to restore peace and promote unity in diversity.
