HAVAN
The word 'Yajna' meaning 'The worship of the Almighty' is derived from the Sanskrit root 'Yaj' - to worship.
Maharishi Dayanand Swami ji emphasised that 'Deva - Yajna' is our Second Great Daily Duty. This is also called 'Agnihotra', 'Homa' or 'Havan'. It is the ritual in which Parameswara is worshipped, and is perfomed for purifying the atmosphere and water. Inhaling pure and fresh air improves the health, intelligence, strength and vitality of a person.
True to Swami Dayanand ji's belief, Havan resonant with Veda Mantras is performed in the morning involving a particular Class and Section along with the Class teacher.
Students reap the benefits of the calming aura of the Havan and make a good start for the day.
