INTERNATIONAL DAY OF FOREST AND WORLD WILDLIFE DAY
THEME: "FORESTS AND INNOVATION: NEW SOLUTIONS FOR A BETTER WORLD"
The Event commenced with harmonious rendition of DAV Gaan, followed by the Gayathri Mantra. Aravind B of Class V took the stage with confidence to welcome the gathering. The Master of Ceremonies, Abhinav P, and Vishaka Vivek showcased their excellent language skills throughout the program, ensuring a seamless flow of events.
‘Time to Stand Up for Wildlife’ - Students of Class VII performed an informative and engaging Street Play to raise awareness about wildlife conservation. They portrayed various animals entertaining the audience while delivering thought provoking messages about the necessity to protect our planet’s fauna.
‘A Night at the Museum’ - Students of Class V took on the roles of extinct animals, and presented a narrative about the species they represented, highlighting the causes of their extinction. This performance drew attention to the plight of animals that could no longer be seen and the factors that led to their disappearance.
‘Nature’s Lifeline’ - Students of Class VI presented a Talk show on different methods to protect natural ecosystems for sustainability. Their presentation emphasized the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling to minimize our ecological footprint. They demonstrated various ways to practice these principles in daily life, underscoring the critical role each person plays in safeguarding our environment.
Ms. Sujatha M, the Teacher In-Charge commended all the performers and emphasized the importance of conserving forests. She encouraged all students to plant trees to promote Sustainable Growth.
The celebrations concluded with Vote of Thanks by Laya Raghavan, followed by the Shanti Paat.
