VISIT TO OLD AGE HOMES

To inculcate the joy of giving and spreading cheer, Our School organized a Visit to  Old Age Homes on 07.12.19 (Saturday). Students of  Std.IX, X and XI along with their Teachers and Incharges paid a visit to three different homes of elderly and orphans viz Sevalaya, Kaakum Karangal and Swami Old Age Home. Groceries and other daily requirements collected as a part of Community Outreach Programme were donated to the authorities of these Homes.

The inmates of the Homes were very hospitable and friendly. They welcomed us with warm greetings. All Students interacted with the senior citizens and received their blessings. They were so excited to share their personal stories. They expressed their happiness to have us amidst them that day as they could forget their sorrows at least momentarily.

The tiny tots of Kaakum Karangal entertained us by singing and dancing. The inmates of Swami Old Age Home were delighted to sing and dance with us. It was a new experience for all of us.

The day turned to be a fruitful one with a learning for a life time.
