CELEBRATIONS OF SWAMI DAYANAND’S BIRTH ANNIVERSARY
Swami Dayanand’s Birthday was celebrated on 18th February in our school in a fitting manner.
The students of Std. II played host to the celebrations. The session started with the D.A.V. Gaan followed by the Gayatri Mantra.
A bilingual Speech in English and Hindi highlighted the Early Childhood of Swami Dayanand ji. The birth of Arya Samaj, and the service rendered by the D.A.V Movement through Education entrenched in our Vedas was emphasized in the stimulating speech. The students also focused on the contribution of other visionaries of Arya Samaj as well.
The Ten Commandments of Arya Samaj was pronounced thus laying emphasis on the quality education imparted by the Nonprofit Organisation running more than 900 schools, Universities and work for the upliftment of millions of downtrodden.
Slogans were also recited by students on Swami Dayanand and Arya Samaj simultaneously. A dance drama and enactment on the turning points in the life of Swami Dayanand ji was put up by the students.
At the Vatika premises, the tiny tots performed Yogasanas and emphasized on the need for ‘fitness for social and moral well being.’
A skit highlighting the message of Equality was thought provoking and encouraged the audience to live the life of an ‘Arya’.
