BLOOD DONATION CAMP
Our School is organising a string of Outreach Activities in Commemoration of the Birth Anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati and Mahatma Hansraj, Founders of D.A.V. Movement.
As a part of these Outreach Programmes, our School arranged for a 'Blood Donation Camp' at our School Campus on 4th January, 2020 (Saturday) between 9.30 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. in collaboration with Rotary Central TTK-VHS Blood Bank Taramani, Chennai - 113.
The Blood Donation Camp was headed by Dr.R.Varadharajan, Medical Officer and Eleven Medical Professionals, from the Rotary Central TTK-VHS Blood Bank.
Our Principal, Mrs. Minoo Aggarwal, took every step to promote the noble cause among the parent and teacher community of the School.
A motivational talk was given in the Morning Assembly to Parents and Students by the School Staff Nurse, Ms. Susila. R.
On the day of the Camp, 78 donors including 19 of our staff members donated blood for the noble cause. 31,000 ml of blood i.e. 31 litres of blood was collected from the 'Life Saviours' with the hope to infuse life into the ones in need.
The TTK-VHS Blood Bank has issued 'Special Certificate of Appreciation' to all the Donors and the School as a mark of their extraordinary service.
As a noble gesture, the Medical Officer of the Camp announced that the VHS Blood Bank would issue blood, free of charge to the student or staff at the timely hour.
