NATIONAL  EDUCATION  DAY 

Our School observed “National Education Day” on 11^th November, 2019 to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of India’s First Education Minister, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

The commemoration of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad's Anniversary was a special tribute to the legendary who redefined Education in the context of our Society.

In an earnest effort to spread awareness about the life changing role of education, students of Std. XI collaborated with their schoolmates and conducted various campaigns on the theme of the year 'Skill Awareness and Empowerment'.

The students of Std. XI took up a special initiative on 'Adult Literacy'. The group interacted with the 'Group D' staff and trained them on simple conversation in English. A few of them were encouraged to write their own names, identify the alphabet and Roman Letters used for classes and for teachers' name too.

To inculcate 'Love for Reading', senior students narrated moral short-stories to the students of Std. II - V. 

Speech on the topic 'Importance of Education to Transform One's Life' emphasized the influence of education in a student's life.

Various competitions were also conducted for the students based on the theme of the year. Students participated in Essay Writing, Poster Designing and Slogan Writing that highlighted the norm 'Education for All' and the nation's commitment to all aspects of Education .

The day culminated with a Rally that was flagged off by the Principal, Mrs. Minoo Aggarwal. The powerful hands and fierce voices resonated that the 'Power of Learning' and 'Fruit of Education' can sculpt a better society and brighter future.

It was remarkably a satisfying day, as the students sensitised the spectators on 'the necessity of Education as an ultimate way to get victory over all the personal and social problems'.
