SCHOOL ROAD SAFETY PATROL BATTALION PARTICIPATE IN THE INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS
AT THE RAMPARTS OF FORT ST. GEORGE
27 Road Safety Patrol Cadets of Class XII got the opportunity to witness the Independence Day Programme held at the Ramparts of Fort St.George, Rajaji Salai as a part of Road Safety Patrol South Wing, Chennai.
Two Road Traffic Officials, Mr.Rajeshwaran.E, Road Safety Warden and Mr.Kathirvel, Sub-Inspector, Traffic, Saidapet escorted the contingent to the venue in the wee hours of August 15, 2019 on a Chartered Trip of the M.T.C.
The RSP Contingents from more than 35 schools greeted the Chief Minister's convoy with waving flags and warm smiles.
The Troop also witnessed the Flag Hoisting by the Chief Minister, Thiru. Edappadi K. Palanisamy. In his Independence Day Address, he urged the common folk to be cautious users of water and announced several schemes for the benefit of the common people.
Special Gallantry Awards were given away to recipients for exemplary work in various fields.
The RSP cadets felt privileged to be representing the School. It was a day with a difference for the battalion that donned the RSP barrettes and caught a glimpse of the Ceremony.
