KUDOS TO SANCHITA PATRA, VIII C FOR HER ACHIEVEMENT IN ICPE CONTEST, 2021
The Indian Centre for Plastics in the Environment (ICPE) is an agency recognized by the Government of India to handle all issues related to Plastics and Environment in the country.
This agency conducted All India School Contest- 2021 for school students in the month of July. Three topics were given for the Junior Category-Classes V to VIII to create an Audio-Visual Clip, Power Point Presentation, Poster or Animation Video on any one of the themes. The topics were
- Importance of Plastics in our Daily Life
- Advantages of Plastics over Conventional Materials
- Why Plastics Recycling is important
Sanchita Patra of Class VIII C participated in the competition. The topic chosen by her was ‘Why Plastics Recycling is Important’. The importance of recycling plastics and the ways to recycle plastics to make our planet a better and healthy place to live in was emphasized through an Audio-Visual Clip.
The entry was evaluated by an independent jury comprising of Academicians and Industry Representatives and the result was announced on 1st October 2021. Sanchita bagged the Second Prize in South Zone. ICPE arranged Virtual Felicitation Programme on 24th December 2021. The winners and the teacher in charges were felicitated in the grand event.
The Trophy along with Bluetooth Earphones was received by the winner. The agency thanked the School Administration, teachers and the students for their support and cooperation.
