TIRUVALLUVAR DAY CELEBRATIONS
'Thiruvalluvar Day' is celebrated on the second day of the month of Thai across the state of Tamil Nadu and by Tamizhans all over the world.
The Thiruvalluvar Day was celebrated with great zeal by the students of our School on 15th January, 2022. The Tamil Language Teachers and Students of Std VIII came together to shower honour and celebrate the illustrious Poet- Saint of Tamil Literature.
An array of activities were conducted during the Language Classes to encourage students to research on the exemplary life of the Poet, his great works and contribution to the society.
The enthusiastic students came up with more than 60 video presentations that shed light on Thiruvalluvar's Life and Works.
To add colour to the celebration, H.Sahana, Sruthilayaa R and Shambhavi B performed a graceful and moving dance depicting the essence of the Chapter "Poraiyudaimai" and B N Harini Shree composed a beautiful song on the Chapter "Kalvi " and mesmerised the audience with their mellifluous rendition.
A talk show and Quiz on the Thirukurral helped the students gain a deeper understanding of the Secular Literature.
An artistic masterpiece depicting the 133ft Statue of the Ascetic that stands in the midst of the sea at Kanyakumari was portrayed on canvas by the deft fingers of Nishant Avaneesh.
The Celebration gave the students a vivid experience of unravelling facts about the Poet and Learning important life lessons by quoting the Kurrals.
