DIWALI CELEBRATIONS

Diwali was celebrated on 2^nd November 2021 between 10:40 am 11:20 am virtually and it was hosted by the students of class VII.

Diwali is the festival of lights and is celebrated in all parts of India with a lot of enthusiasm and zeal.

The programme started with lighting of Diya by Principal ma'am accompanied by all the incharges and teachers.

The programme started with a prayer by Nithysri S of VII E followed by a Welcome Speech by Dhiyana S of VII D.

The  amazing puppet show by the students of class VI presented how this festival  is celebrated in South India as Naraka Chaturdashi - Lord Krishna’s Victory over Narakasura. 

Panch Maha Parv - The festival in Western part of India was depicted by the students of class VII. It is celebrated for four days and begins with Vasu Baras - a ritual where cows are worshipped.

Moving to the Eastern part of India, Students of class VIII made a video presentation of the Unique rituals and pooja proceedings expressing gratitude to nature.

Students of class X added Science to it and showed the lighting of sparkling diyas with water and also explained the celebration of the festival in the North for 5 days.

Finally, Brightful Spree - The students of class IX highlighted the importance of traditional customs of honouring Lord Rama during the festival in the form of a dance.

Vote of Thanks was delivered by Sahana H of Class VII D and Shanti Paat by Nityasri S of class VII-E.                 

It was an excellent show by the students educating all of us about Diwali in detail on how this festival is celebrated in the East, West, North and South of India.
