VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK 2021
The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), an apex integrity institution of the country, in its endeavour to promote transparency, accountability and integrity in public life, has been declaring the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week every year to encourage the fight against corruption. The Vigilance Awareness Week is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, known to be a man of high integrity.
This year the Vigilance Awareness Week was observed from 26th October, 2021 to 1st November, 2021. The School organized an array of informative activities virtually on 29th October, 2021 to generate awareness about the ill effects of corruption. The day’s programme revolved around the theme ‘Independent India@75: Self Reliance with Integrity’.
The programme commenced with the chanting of divine Gayathri Mantra. The Welcome Address was delivered by Harshil Malisetty of X-C followed by the Introduction Speech on significance of celebrating Vigilance Awareness Day by Kartik Surana of X-A.
The young and charming sixth graders performed mind boggling ‘Villupattu’ which echoed the message how to make India a corruption-free nation. The vivid demonstration ‘Stop Adulteration’ by the students of Class VII enlightened the audience about the ill effects of food adulteration.
The special feature of the day’s programme was ‘Qawaali- Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ by the students of classes VIII and IX. The students mesmerized everyone with their lilting musical notes along with their mind-blowing expressions and colourful costumes. The show highlighted on the removal of social evils such as corruption, favoritism etc. with an aim to make India a super power nation, by striving for self-reliance and development. The lyrics of the song was written by our Staff Mrs. Sandhya and Mrs. Hema Sarda and the Music was composed by Mr. Shrishant Kumar Pattnaik.
In the thought-provoking ‘Musical Mime’ presented by IX and X, the students depicted a few sequences on how to be vigilant all times and guard our minds from negative thoughts like bribery and corruption and show integrity- the way of life. The ‘Musical Treat’ by Shravya of Class IX and Rishi of Class X with catchy slogans on creating corruption free nation made the audience spell bound.
‘Integrity Pledge’ was taken by all the staff members and the students assuring to perform all tasks in an honest and transparent manner. The Academic Coordinator, Ms. Rema Devi’s inspiring words motivated the students to follow the path of righteousness and enriched the day’s programme.
The Vigilance Day Celebrations came to an end with the Vote of Thanks and Shanti Paat.
The day was indeed informative and enlightening!
