INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

"Patriotism consists not in waving the flag, but in striving that our country shall be righteous as well as strong!”

The 75^th Independence Day Celebration held on 15^th August 2021 was a mesmerizing panorama of patriotism, commemorating 74 years of free and independent India.

The day commenced with the traditional hoisting of the National Flag in the School premises.

The virtual programme began with the recitation of the Gayatri Mantra seeking the blessings of the Almighty.

The Welcome address was followed by an array of performances presented by students of Class VI-XII which exuded patriotic fervour.

MUDRA a dance portrayal by students of Class XII was a scintillating depiction of the symbols intrinsic to Indian identity and heritage including the national animal, bird, fruit and tree.

ABHINAYA a dance performance by students of Class XI was a powerful expression of the emotions of freedom fighters – sorrow, anger and happiness.

EMBRACING OUR TIRANGA by Malika Tajj of Class XI was an informative and artistic presentation about the several changes the National Flag underwent before it took the present avatar.

Madhumita Makesh of Class XI presented FLAVOURS OF TRICOLOUR and tickled the taste buds with her deft culinary skills showcasing delicious tri coloured snacks.

TRIBUTE TO THE NATION a Kathak dance performed by Ameya of Class VI to the tune of a patriotic song, enthralled the onlookers.

Students of Class X presented UNSUNG WOMEN WARRIORS which was a true recognition of three unsung women patriots during the freedom movement for their profound accomplishment of heroism and sacrifice.

AYE MERE WATAN KE LOGON by Class IX was an inspiring rendition of the evergreen patriotic melody accompanied bya gallery of thought provoking posters and images.

Principal addressed the students, parents and teachers and shared her insightful and inspiring words.

The Vote of Thanks was followed by an innovative montage by the tiny tots wishing everyone a happy Independence day !
