The 20th Anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas

The 20th Anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas  was commemorated on 26.07.2019.

  • As  part of the momentous occasion, a number of activities were organized  in the school. The Competitions represented the life of Indian  Soldiers during the war of Kargil, highlighting their Patriotism, Sacrifices and most importantly the values - Integrity and Unity.
  • The Comemoration celebration witnessed the enthusisastic participation of  around 1520 students, ably motivated by around 60 teachers.
  • Students of Std.XI participated in the Essay Writing Competition on the topic “Kargil Hero- Life History”, While 40 students of Std.XII  were involved  in a verbal battle of the Debate Competition  on the topic “War and Peace”, 596 Creative Fingers of  Std.X, XI & XII participated  in the Painting Contest depicting Kargil War and Heroes.
  • A Mammoth 1032 students of Std.VIII to XII rendered the “Kargil  song’ created  by Army , for a duration of 5 minutes 56 seconds. The Song was a befitting tribute to all war heroes and  glorified  the achievements and sacrifices made by  our Armed forces.
  • Other Activities  included Dance, Skit  that depicted a gallery walk to National Museum, singing praise of the inspiring deeds of the brave Martyrs of the Indian Army and Speech on “Kargil War and its three major Phases”, where students of  VII and VIII actively participated.
  • The Programme did endeavour to rekindle Patriotism and motivate students towards National Building.
