REPUBLIC  DAY  CELEBRATIONS

To commemorate India’s 71st Republic Day and create awareness about our Constitution, a grand celebration was held on 26th January, 2020 in the school premises.

Our beloved Principal, Mrs. Minoo Aggarwal along with one student from each class and a parent marked the beginning of the celebration by jointly hoisting the National Flag.

The importance of Republic Day was brought out through a Hindi song “Aye Watan” and a short and inspiring speech in Hindi by Soham Srivatsava of  Std. IX.

“A Date with Dates” enabled Students of Class IX to create a “Timeline” to trace the evolution and formation of the Indian Constitution from the inception of the Constituent Assembly on 6th December, 1946 to the adoption of the Constitution on 26th January, 1950.

Young Students - the Sculptors of Future India perceive the Republic Day differently and this was highlighted through a fiery speech in Tamil by B.Chandru of Std. IX.

The Republic Day Celebration was topped with 'peppy’ music and ‘sprightly’ dance. The energetic and enthusiastic dancers instilled national fervour with their performance on popular patriotic songs.

Thought provoking views by the Principal, Adithya Ashok, an alumnus of the School and School Pupil Leader,  Mukundan urged the gathering to introspect on ‘What we have done for the country?’

Lesser known facts about the Indian Constitution was an eye opener and a novel way to commemorate the Republic Day.
