ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION 2019 – 20

The Annual Day Celebration of our School was hosted on 23rd October, 2019 at the Kamaraj Arangam, Teynampet, Chennai.

Shri. Prabodh Mahajan, Vice President, D.A.V. College Managing Committee, New Delhi and  Chairman of our School and Smt. Seetha Kiran, School’s Manager and Regional Officer,  D.A.V. Institutions, Telengana presided over the Resplendent Evening. Members of the Local Managing Committee and Principals of  D.A.V. Schools of Andhra Pradesh Zone-I, also graced the Grand Celebration.

In his Keynote Address, Shri Prabodh Mahajan gave ‘Life Lessons’ for Parents, Teachers and Students. He urged students to work hard, respect values, and stand on their own feet and added that they need to be watchful of the hours spent on the mobile phones. He said that it has been proven that exposure to the radiation of mobile phones makes youngsters prone to Cancer.

In his special word to the parents, he appealed with them to be role models, spend quality time with the children and show them the right path. He also stressed upon the significant role of the teachers in channelizing the energy of the students and encouraging them to read good literature and experience the beauty of art and culture. He congratulated the award winners for their Exemplary Academic Results.

Smt Seetha Kiran welcomed the gathering and highlighted the ‘Uniqueness’ of the School’s  Annual Day.

Mrs. Minoo Aggarwal, Founder Principal and Regional Officer, A.P. Zone-I presented the Academic Achievements of the Students and School during the Academic Year 2018-2019. She highlighted the commendable School Results of Std. X and Std. XII conducted by the C.B.S.E. in March, 2019 and declared the Stupendous Achievements of the School at National and International Level Competitions and Campaigns.

The Accomplishments of the School, Staff and Students were shared with the august gathering through a Power Point Presentation. Student achievements in Culturals, Sports, Science Exhibitions and School Outreach Programmes was proof of the gamut of opportunities provided to the Students to sharpen their competencies and develop into holistic individuals.

The Chairman honoured the Student Achievers of Std. X and Std. XII for the Outstanding Academic Performance in the March, 2019 Board Examinations. Staff members with Meritorious and dedicated service spanning over 10 years and Outstanding Results were felicitated during the function.

The invigorating Cultural Extravaganza, RESPLENDENCE – 2019 was an amalgamation of a resounding Veena concert, scintillating dance sequences and a tribute to the brave soldiers of our Motherland.

C. Charulatha of Std.VIII,  a Child Prodigy and recipient of Bharat Ratna M.S.Subbalakshmi fellowship  and National Scholarship by Ministry of Culture, Government of India mesmerised the Audience with a ‘Solo Performance’ of the Veena Recital and proved that she truly is an ‘Asset’ to the School and Nation.

Megh Malhar was a mosaic of Odissi, Hindustani and Classical Music and Dance, beckoning the rain and enchanting in the peacock dance.

Boogie Woogie thrilled the audience with a Magical Dance Performance conveying a powerful message to refuse ‘Single use Plastic’ and ‘Wear Helmets to avoid head injury’.

Guru Brahma was an obeisance to the Guru and stressed on enjoying life along with studies to create a study- life balance.

Jazz Up,a peppy dance number enthralled  the onlookers beyond imagination.

Tanquil Tantras showcased incredible Yoga Asanas to harmonise the Body, Mind and Soul.

Bharat Ke Veer Jawan was a heart rendering and emotional depiction of the Life of Captain  Vikram Batra, an Alumnus of  D.A.V. School, Palampur and a Martyr of the Kargil War.

The Annual Day was a fun filled evening peppered with significant Values of Patriotism and Respect for the Environment and Humanity.
