Inter School Cultural Fest


The First Friday of  July (07.07.2017) was abuzz with hectic activity as enthusiastic students  from the Schools of Chennai and her suburbs had the time of the year at 'AGE' Avant-garde Essence - 2017,  the Annual 'One Day' Inter School Cultural Fest.

The Inaugural Ceremony was presided over by noted Musician, Shri. U.K. Murali, Founder Cine Light Music Orchestra, 'Udhaya Ragam' and popular Playback Singer and School Alumnus Ms. Vinaita. 

23 schools registered for the 11 competitions lined up for the day long Cultural Fest.

Movers and Groovers and Battle On were a feast to the senses with scintillating performances by flexible and obsessive dancers.

While Jugalbandi was a toast to the ears with an amalgamation of Western and Indie pop Songs, Splash of Colours got the contestants to get creative with visuals and artistic expressions.

Shipwreck and Block N' Tackle was an acid test for the orators and eloquent jabbers.

Movie buff, a new version of Adzap encouraged young actors to perform to a movie promo that was filled  with imagination and innovation.

Incredible India- The Quiz  fulfilled the quest of the brainy.

The Short Film Making was an invitation to contestants with a flair for Camera Work and Film Making on the Theme - Namma Chennai

The Mega Event spelt sheer ecstasy for both the participants from the Guest Schools and the Host School.

The Valedictory Function was presided over by Film Director and Actor of the much Acclaimed, National Award Winning Feature Film                   'Thanga Meengal', Mr. Ram. In his address, he said, every student is a 'Star' in their own rights, therefore they should be encouraged to participate and perform to their best. He gave away the prizes to the winners of various events.

The Hindu Sr. Sec. School, Indira Nagar, Adyar bagged the Overall Trophy. Sushil Hari International, Kelambakkam and Vel's Vidyashram, Pallavaram shared the First Runners up position and P.S.B.B. K.K.Nagar was adjudged the Second Runner Up. Three Schools bagged the Award for Maximum Participation.
