D.A.V. Public School, Velachery, Chennai was blessed by the spiritual presence of Acharya Arya Nareshji on 30th November, 2017.

His Holiness Acharyaji, Founder, Udgeeth Sadhna Sthali near Solan, Himachal Pradesh has embarked on a journey through parts of India to spread awareness about yoga, personality development, spirituality and many others. A warm reception was accorded to Acharyaji with the traditional 'Poornakumbam' and later escorted into the school premises flanked by the vibrant South Indian folk Artistes.

The Principal, Mrs. Minoo Aggarwal welcomed his Holiness and shed light on the philanthropic activities carried out by him and his disciples. A very Special Assembly was hosted in honour of Acharyaji. The talented and enthusiastic students of Std. VIII - XI presented the 8 Multiple Intelligences during the Assembly Programme. The students vividly portrayed the Intelligences through Dance, Skit, Mime, Song and Mathematical Activities.

Acharya Arya Nareshji addressed the students on a plethora of topics. He commenced his discourse on a patriotic note, stating Hindi is the language used by a majority of Indians and every Indian should take pride in conversing in the native language and not blindly follow English.

He was all praise for the students and school for moulding and grooming the students for holistic development.

He spoke at length to the young students on their significant role in taking the nation forward on the path of prosperity and development. He gave the staff and students the 5-fold path to lead a fruitful/prosperous life which is 

He made a call for all the D.A.Vites to lead a balanced life - he said 'balanced' itself encompasses physical, emotional, social and spiritual well being. Even if one of them was not aligned, the human life could be affected thus affecting the society and national program.

He stressed upon the importance of Chanting Vedas. He said the Vedic chanting lights a fire in us that purifies our heart and unifies our thoughts and ideas.

He also added that consumption of right food and avoiding substances that makes one sloth and cavernous.

His sermon was a wholesome package for the "awakened youth of India" who should be ready to take the nation forward with their deep sense of patriotism and rendering willing service to the society.

He willed the learners to devote every single minute to productive activity be it artistic or academic.

He also urged the teachers to embolden students on a path of self-realisation, self-discipline and uprightness. He added that education should become that tool that will spark significant changes in the society.

He appreciated the school whose name itself is the espousal of 'Anglo & Vedic' - 'Modernity and Tradition' and that he said is the trailblazer path for a 'New India'.
