The students also got an opportunity to visit the Chennai Port as a part of the camp. The onboard demonstration on the ship, ICGS SHAURYA commissioned on 12th August, 2017 by the Indian Coast Guard, left the students spell bound. They also had the privilege to access the restricted area of the port to view the weaponries and rescue-ready equipped helipad and Naval Vessels.

The students were thrilled to see an old decommissioned Indian Submarine. They also had the opportunity to watch the entry of a ship to the port from the sea with the help of the Tug Boats. The small boats (Tugboats) which manoeuvre the vessel properly in water left the students amazed.

The team had a wonderful learning experience which kindled their interest in the unexplored area of the Ocean Technology. The objective of the camp was to create an awareness to the Students on the various options to pursue their career in this field.
