"Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious Stupidity"

                                                                                                              - Martin Luther King.

D.A.V. Public School observed World AIDS Day on 7th December 2017 based on the theme "My Health, My Right". Students of Class VII organised several programs in order to create awareness of the dreadful HIV.

Dr. Sasi Kumar, M.S (Gen), D.N.B, MNAMS, FIMSA(Ph.D) and parent of one of our students consented to be the Chief Guest for the occasion.      The program started with a thought provoking speech by Swathi of Class VII C on the virus and it was followed by a skit on how the virus is spread through blood transformation and the innocent protogonist was secluded from the society. It was an eye opener towards the status of the HIV infected people.

A beautiful group song 'Haat Se Hatt Milao' sung by school choir, brought out the spirit of empathy one should hold towards HIV infected people in the Society. A powerful guest lecture by Dr. Sasi Kumar, eradicated various myths including 'AIDS spread by touching'.

He also encouraged the students of D.A.V. to indulge themselves in researches related to finding vaccines against HIV.

The program concluded with the vote of thanks.
